This week we’ll think about the foundations of motion editing and synthesis to give you food for thought for your projects. And you should be well under way with your projects.

  • Monday (2/14 – meet in CS3310) – (Reading 7) we’ll talk about motion editing and synthesis fundamentals. I might use slides I made for a talk 2 years ago (here). Or, I might assume you can figure out motion graphs yourselves and talk about something else.
  • Wednesday (2/16 – meet in CS3310) – (Reading 8) we’ll think about the pros and cons of the skeletal representation, and consider some alternatives. We will also continue our conversation about motion synthesis.
  • Friday (2/18 – no class meeting) – This day is dedicated for you to work on your projects. I’d like to meet with each group to check in and see how you are doing. Details coming soon.

Next week, we’ll look at some more recent motion synthesis and editing work, hopefully to provoke some project ideas. We’ll also wrap up the first phase of the project and plan for the second.
