main-project2grading

Here is how project 2 was graded:

The number in parenthesis is the number of people that fell into the category.

  • If you got arc-length working:

    • if you had no bells and whistles, you got a B (1)
    • if you had “some” bells and whistles, you got an AB (9)
    • if you had “a lot” of bells and whistles, you got an A (10)
    • if your arc length had issues, but you had lots of bells and whistles, AB (1)
  • If you didn’t get arc length working:

    • if you didn’t get a train going around the track (a few), you didn’t get a very good grade (CD),
    • if you didn’t get the triain oriented correctly (3), we struggled to find positive things in what you did (C)
    • if you had some simple bells and whistles, BC (4)
    • if you had several bells (including some hard ones) and whistles B (1)

Since there are 31 people on the class roster, this means that the median grade was an AB and mean is at the low end of AB.

Of course, this doesn’t factor in late penalties. But more on that later.
