Hey all,

The Global Game Jam, 2011 starts at 5 pm Friday and goes on till 3 pm Sunday.

I recommend taking part in this event if you enjoy making games. Its a 48 hour game jam wherein people team up (based on ideas proposed and mutual interest) and create fun games on a particular theme (which is disclosed when the jam begins).

There are a lot of people signed up this year (40+), especially art folks, though you never know how many end up coming.

I participated last year (and am going to again, this year) and it was a fabulous experience! We had programmers/designers from Raven and Filament Games (both located at Madison) judge the event!

Further info on the event can be found here.

Feel free to ask me if you have any questions.
