We plan on making use of the G3D framework for the graphics and UI. Here is a link to the G3D homepage

G3D has nice geometric and graphics primitives (vectors, matrices, quaternions, coordinate frames, cameras, lights,etc..) which should make our job easier. It also comes with a nice set of UI elements that we can use for the controls. Below is a picture of the starter project that comes with the G3D distribution. We have set up an HG repository and have tested that everyone can pull and push.

We also brainstormed about what the initial UI should look like and what we want to show:

As of right now the labor will be divided as such:

Aaron: ASF/AMC parsing

Reid: BVH parsing

Michael: Initial UI control setup

Adrian: internal datastructure setup

Our plan is to get a playable BVH and ASF/AMC  as soon as possible so that we can divide up the rest of the work

Sounds like a good plan. I think G3D is a good choice – I have no direct experience, but I’ve heard good things.
